Follow John Butine at the 2019 Sunfish Worlds

As many of us know, John Butine will be racing in the 2019 Sunfish World Championship, in Bonaire!

There will be 70 sailors from 12 different countries competing in the regatta that starts on Monday, September 16.  The two links below will be updated throughout the week with results and hopefully photos.  This 2019 event is the 49th annual world championship.  As such, all of the sail numbers will start with a ‘49’.  John's sail will be 4904.

For much of the Spring and Summer, if there was big breeze on Lake Norman, John made every effort to get out on the Sunfish.  The average wind speed for September in Bonaire is 15-20 knots.  Windy days there are just days that end in the letter Y.

Amy and John will do their best to post pics to FB, but check these links for overall coverage.
