RaceQs

FRIDAY, MAY 6TH

1300-1630 - On-water clinic with Brian Hayes from North Sails followed by debrief in Clubhouse in lower level or front lawn (yes, near the keg).

Brian Hayes, North Sails One Design Expert

1600-1900 - SWAP MEETClean out your garage, sail locker, back of your suburban. Bring your parts, sails, pfd’s for swap or sale during the swap meet at 1600.

Lake Norman Community Sailing (LNCS) will be available to accept donations and/or buy your used but good condition/serviceable sails. The sailing center has plenty of ok sails that are a bit blown out; we're mostly interested in sails that are a little better than that. In the past, LNCS buys good used sails for $100 or less (call or text Sean O'Donnell at 704-909-8929 cell or sean.odonnell@nccsailrow.org for questions); Donors will receive a donation letter for tax purposes. This is a great way to clear out your garage and cover your regatta costs!

You can order Flying Scot parts via Bill Ross (wbross11@windstream.net) which would be delivered to the regatta.

You can also order Flying Scot parts via Dave Bachelor (sailordave@nc.rr.com). Dave also has (5) Under Seat Nets for sale for $25 I'm told. Contact Dave and/or I suspect he will have them at the Friday evening swap meet:

1800-1930 - Welcome Party/post clinic pizza, salad, dessert, beverages

SATURDAY, MAY 7TH

1700 - Brian Hayes from North Sails will conduct a de-brief of Saturday's racing to review best practices, techniques, etc. This debrief will coincide with the RaceQs replay by Charlie Buckner in the Clubhouse lower level.

If you have not already, download the RaceQs app on your smart phone in advance of the regatta. On Friday evening, Charlie or many of us can help you get set up with RaceQs.

SUNDAY, MAY 8TH

1230 - The awards this year will be Lazy Susans hand made by LNYC's Bob Fields (FS 5963). Bob is making ten Lazy Susans to be awarded to the top five boats, skipper and crew. Bob (FS 5693) is a skilled woodworker, and he is donating his time and skills to provide really great trophies.
